Transit-Inc To Give Away Their Debut CD at Album Launch!!
Sydney band Transit-Inc are launching their self-titled debut full length CD Saturday 26th April at the Ruby Rabbit in Darlinghurst. Everyone who walks into the venue will leave at the end of the night with a copy of the CD in their hands as part of their admission. Fellow Sydney bands Our Monk and One Flew East will be joining Transit-Inc in celebrating the release of what has become a two year labour of love and persistence.
The album took two years to record and produce, as the band only recorded when time and money permitted. Working independently has allowed Transit-Inc to maintain control of their musical vision The result is a high quality release, recorded in some of Sydney's finest studios, including Velvet Studios, BJB Studios, and Eargasm Studios. The band is currently distributing the album independently through CDOnline (www.CDOnline.com). Further distribution will be available by the end of April through Fish Records and So Music.
Brothers Anthony and Mark Cass have been making music together for over ten years. Comprising the rhythm section of Transit-Inc, the current line up came together in 2006 when guitarist Rob Russ joined. In addition to concentrating on song writing and recording, Transit-Inc have focused their efforts on fine tuning their live show. Drum Media applauded their passion for live performance, remarking, "It's great to see a band playing songs they've written with love and abandon, enjoying the gig for the sake of the music."
Everyone will get the chance to see and hear and take home Transit-Inc when they attend the launch. Tickets are $15 at the door, with the music starting at 8pm. Following the launch, the band will continue to tour the new album, with shows in Newcastle at Newcastle Uni and the Cambridge on 30th April, the Cat and Fiddle 9th May, Eastern Creek Tavern 24th May, and the Gaelic 13th June. Full details about future gig dates are available at www.transit-inc.net
