All You Need Is Beatles Tribute Show
For Medicins sans Frontieres
On Friday 8th and Saturday 9th February, The Troubadour will revive the glory of the sixties, when Bonefinger Records presents its second annual 'All You Need is Beatles' tribute show, with all door proceeds going to aid Médecins Sans Frontières (www.msf.org.au).
With last year's show a sell-out in less than 15 minutes, organisers decided to have 2 big nights this year instead of just 1! Over the weekend, Beatles fans will be treated to 15 of Brisbane's finest acts, including Glasshouse, Grand Atlantic, 26, The Incredible Strand, Dead Day Sun, Tyrone Noonan, The Black Arts, The Bloodpoets, Skinny Jean, Rachael Brady, The Madhappies, Kristy London, New Brown Shoe, Idle Cranes, and Durkheim & Sons.
Doors open at 8pm both nights. Tickets can be pre-purchased online through www.bonefingerrecords.com for $20 for a single night or $30 for both nights.
Médecins Sans Frontières is the world's leading independent humanitarian organisation for medical aid. Annually, some 3,000 volunteer doctors, nurses and support staff work in trouble spots around the world helping those living on the edge of human tolerance.' (www.msf.org.au)
Médecins Sans Frontières was formed in 1971 by a group of French doctors who had previously worked with famine victims in Biafra. All were frustrated by the bureaucracy they encountered and by the degree of government interference in government aid.' (www.msf.org.au)
They aimed to establish a lean, independent organisation that would focus on emergency medicine, speak out about the causes of human suffering and cut through red tape to deliver aid more quickly and effectively. And so Médecins Sans Frontières was born and, with it, a new vision for humanitarian response to crises and a new voice to speak out on behalf of populations in danger.' (www.msf.org.au)
