Story Behind our Band Name

The name is based on the historical significance of the "Ten Lost Tribes" of Israel. The name Tribe 11 imagines the band in the context of an "eleventh" lost tribe -- lost and surrounded like the Ten Lost Tribes with only music and imagination as both guide and escape. This idea is reflected in the metaphysical, spiritual, and often sublime "wanderings" traversed in the music and lyrics that try to find an alternate frame of reference to "everyday" life.
