THE IDOLS are here to set the record straight, to bury all the rock pretenders with a punk rock kick to the teeth, the real bad-boy band of the scene. With a reputation for a loud, dangerous and out of control live show that never leaves the audience disappointed, they are intent of reminding today's kids of what real rock/punk music is all about - breaking the rules!!!
This Adelaide four piece exploded on the scene March 2006 to a crowd of around 300 kids some of whom already singing along to songs. Since then the boys have played regular shows around Adelaide hot spots, Fowlers Live, The Governor Hindmarsh, Enigma Bar and the Underground to name a few. Proving to have a dedicated fan base and an ever growing following not only in the city, but always getting out to regional areas, from Mount Gambier to the River lands and all the way to Pt Lincoln. National and International fans regularly show there love through the bands highly successful internet site www.myspace.com/theidolsparty.
Combining the look and attitude of bands like the NEW YORK DOLLS and the SEX PISTOLS, and a splash of the 80's MOTLEY CRUE hair metal wave. Their sound is a mixture of all the best elements of those eras made into a more current sound taking influence from today's bands like the MURDERDOLLS and EIGHTEEN VISIONS
They are one of the few truly unique bands around today, and it is only just the beginning.....
