We started out named "SOL", which is sun in Spanish. Also, a very popular band name. Our first demo was named "The Bastard Suns EP". Also, In our younger days, a few of us had small drug problems and spent many nights wide awake, only to see that bright sun peek through the windows. We lived on an island and surfed all day, and those mornings were the only time that we hated to see the sun. Now the name serves as a reminder of what we gladly gave up in the name of a future.
