Bio
Formed in 2003, Tension Head from Saginaw, Michigan explode onto the stage with the ferocity of a hurricane. Led by leather lunged vocalist C.P. Rossio and backed by the thunderous bass of Anthony Garcia, the vicious guitars of Sean Griffin and the propulsive percussion of JoJo Jimenez. With the combined experience of 50 years playing music, these straddlers of the fence between hard rock and metal take no prisoners with their energetic live performances and blistering recorded material.
Currently touring in support of their first full length CD, "Fire In The Hole", Tension Head's stock has been rising in the hard rock world. Having been named #58 on MySpace's Top 100 unsigned metal bands and featured on a number of compilations including Sex, Drugs & Rock N Roll's December 2008 sampler and a collection put out by Respawn Records, Tension Head's overwhelming fan support and diligent self promotion has left peers and naysayers in the dust. Opening for Anthrax, Puddle Of Mudd, Trapt, Drowning Pool, Corrosion Of Conformity, Monster Magnet and Taproot just to name a few, they have been accused of "stealing the show" from these national and international acts more than a few times. Given "5 out of the 5 stars" by Bruce of Razor Wire Productions and called "rock at it's finest" by Steve of CDReview.com, the response to Tension Head has been overwhelming and the outpour of enthusiasm has not gone unnoticed.
With their self titled 2005 debut EP now completely sold out, Tension Head are focused on delivering a followup to "Fire In The Hole" which will contain their best material to date. Tension Head are more than ready to takeover an unsuspecting worldwide audience, in a excerpt from Robert E. Martin's (of Review Magazine) glowing review he even went as far as to say, "the sound of Tension Head is incisive, all consuming and impossible to ignore. Be prepared for the trip of your life." As the dust settles in the aftermath of the fallout for a once blossoming musical landscape, all that shall remain is Tension Head.
