 Space Is For Stars
Band Music Vibe Brand Fans Tours & Gigs Comments(2)

Bio

Space Is For Stars. If the name itself doesn't grab your attention, their fresh, well-crafted brand of rock certainly will. Hook laden songs structured by catchy guitar riffs over grooves that your feet can't help but move to, topped off with melodies of poetic wit that will be stuck in your head for days.

Since 2006, these guys have been working incredibly hard to get their music out there. Literally willing to do whatever it takes; they won't take no for an answer. The harsh Canadian winters don't stop them from promoting in the streets handing out flyers and cd's, and even singing barbershop-quartet styled a cappella versions of their songs to attract fans. This has even led to some animosity from bigger bands, mad that they were stealing attention from fans outside their shows.

In April of 2008, they released their debut EP titled ABCDEP completely on their own starving-artist budget, which they sell online, at shows, and in digital format on iTunes. The have rocked venues all over Toronto including Lee's Palace, The Phoenix Concert Theatre, Jeff Healey's Roadhouse, and the Horseshoe Tavern, not to mention gigs for radio stations such as the Steamwhistle Indie Club for 102.1 the edge, Live Lounge for Live 88.5FM in Ottawa, and a half-hour live to air broadcast for the University of Waterloo. They were the winners of volume one of The Hook Up contest, presented by Liberty Group, Edge 102, and Jagermeister which gained them a spot on Liberty Groups website for The Phoenix Concert Theatre.

Expect to see these guys on a bigger scale in the next couple of years. Already receiving interest from labels, they are on their way to exactly where they want to be.
