Bio
Simon Feret…what can be said? The release of his debut album "Pick Me Up" marks the start of his formal career. Informally and passionately, music began for him long ago. Classically trained in violin from the age of three, Simon has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the world of music, which has resulted in the forming of an exceptional songwriter with a voice, both vocal and spiritual, which can only be described as vivid.
Simon was born on June 13, 1984 to Francisca and Joseph Feret. He was raised in Schomberg, a small country town in Southern Ontario.
Simon now lives on the island of Cape Breton. He has so far written, recorded and produced his first album there.
He has studied Cape Breton fiddle style with The Barra MacNeils' Kyle MacNeil and has worked with James Dean Hicks and Ralph Murphy, some of America's most prolific songwriters.
Simon currently has four songs receiving radio airplay in Canada and in Europe.
His performance experiences range from festivals, orchestras, bar gigs, headline shows, to singing on the streets of Ireland. |
