Story Behind our Band Name

MISERY BAY received its name from the hardships that Commodore Perry's crew endured after the Battle of Lake Erie (war of 1812). The men lived in cramped quarters on their ships frozen in the ice. Constant chilling blasts from Lake Erie and the living conditions caused widespread sickness, and many men died. "Dont give up the ship"
