Griffen Alexander's new CD, entitled "Never in Neutral", was released on 11-7-2006.
With heartfelt lyrics and a distinctive voice that resonates sincerity and passion, Griffen pulls out all the stops on "Never in Neutral."
Griffen recorded "Never in Neutral" in a state of the art, professional recording studio in southern California. He held a pivotal role in the entire production of this CD in order to maintain the integrity and the intimate tone of his songs.
The importance of his personal artistic style is evidenced throughout this brilliant collection of self-written music and lyrics.
The first single from the CD is entitled, "I Will". It is the perfect blend of passion and melody, underscored with a wonderfully memorable chorus.
To the Pop-Rock / Acoustic scene, the 20 year old Griffen Alexander, is a proverbial breath of fresh air. His songs are sure to make their way into everyone's hearts. He writes about everyday feelings: experiences in love, life, and friendship. Griffen captures listeners with his sincerity, emotional depth, and realism.
He signed a record deal with Red Night Records Inc in May, 2006. Red Night Records searched for a unique, fresh, driven, artist. They knew Griffen was that and more after listening to just one of his songs. They knew almost everyone could relate to his music in some way, and would enjoy his fresh style. Whether young or older, male or female, no matter what genre of music is preferred, Griffen's music will captivate all.
Griffen is receiving regular radio play on several internet radio stations, including WGAD.net where Griffen has been on their "Top 40 Requests" list for over 4 weeks. Griffen is also receiving radio play on KKFI 90.1 FM – Kansas City Community Radio.
Upstage Radio is another internet radio station that is playing Griffen's music. On Upstage Radio, Griffen is receiving airplay along side prominent artists such as John Mayer, Sting, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, Jack Johnson, and many others.
The week of 12-3-06, Griffen's song "I Will" was #9 on the LoudCity Charts for Upstage Radio.
The week of 12-17-06, Griffen's song "Incapable" was at #6 on the LoudCity Charts for Upstage Radio.
In January 2007, Griffen was featured in 2 Nebraska newspapers.
In May 2007, Griffen's CD appeared on the cover of Disc Makers' catalog.
Griffen performed at the Apache Cafe in Atlanta, GA on 6/21 of this year. Griffen's charismatic performance was so phenomenal, the Apache Cafe staff asked him to return the very next night to perform again.
