Bio
Bands such as Depeche Mode, Placebo & Soundgarden have influenced the intelligent, alternative rock of Dust & Blood.
With thought-provoking lyrics and an underlying addictive, pop thread, their sound is reminiscent of 90's Rock & Roll.
Dust & Blood put down roots in Arizona in May 2007 after singer Joe Gregory & drummer Jon Safley arrived from LA. Not long after, Derek James, Jeff Loleit & Xakk Mychaels all from AZ, completed the lineup on guitars and bass.
After less than six months on the Arizona local music circuit, Dust & Blood not only receives airplay on Alternative Rock Station 103.9, The Edge, but was asked to play the radio station's largest outdoor music festival, EDGEFEST in September of '07.
Within a short period of time Dust & Blood has performed on local stages throughout the Valley, shaking up the scene with speculation surrounding the new band in town. Their Clubhouse gig in January '08 helped fill the venue to its 550 space capacity. Their powerful live performance reflects the talent of seasoned professionals.
The band has distributed thousands of copies of their first 5 song EP, recorded with RYAN WILLIAMS (Deftones, 30 Seconds to Mars, Velvet Revolver).
2008 has also brought about the introduction of the Dust & Blood Custom Media Player. This powerful media tool combines the search capacities of ITunes & YouTube, all the while marketing the band's music, merchandise & showcasing their videos and tour schedule.
