Story Behind our Band Name

Originally we were going to go with the name, "Super Villain." Each of us would have an alter-ego, and Josh's was, "Brain." But that name seemed to be taken by various bands, so Josh suggested just, "Brain." At first we hated it, but it was simple and memorable. Our manager actually suggested the alternate spelling, "Brane." We investigated this further and really liked the depth and meaning, being the fundamental of all matter for the entire universe. We found that it was applicable to us
