Bio

In the summer of 2007 and in spite of the fragmentation of its five members, the band Aquila managed to get together with Glen Fricker of Spectre sound to record their first three songs on a self-titled demo. The furious, melodic and thrashy sound of Aquila is exposed in these three tracks, including "In Our Darkness" "Within These Flames" and "No Forgiveness." Fronted by Mark Arruda, the ex-vocalist of Bloodshoteye, Aquila's other members share a variety of different musical influences, ranging from death metal to classic rock. Guitar players Matt Shelson and Anthony Rimac, combined with the rhythm of bassist Mike Percy and drummer Matt McGuire come together to create a dynamic and unique flavour withinin the furious metal sounds of Aquila. The members intend to continue writing and playing together, and hope to unleash a full length debut sometime in 2009. Look out for the mayhem of Aquila at a southern ontario venue, and be prepared for a heavy metal kick thrown directly at your ass!!!!
